Join the Fightback April 4th in Birmingham

WORKERS ARE UNDER ATTACK.
FIGHT BACK !
Stand Up For Workers’ Rights
Monday, April 4th at 5pm in Linn Park
On behalf of working people everywhere, the AFL-CIO and CWA Local 3902 are sponsoring a Rally in Birmingham at Linn Park (between the County Courthouse and City Hall.) Let's make some noise and let the reactionaries in Montgomery and Washington know that the Labor Movement is not dead, regardless of their wishes.

Dr. King leading the March for Workers' Rights in Memphis.

On April 4, 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, where he had gone to stand with sanitation workers demanding their dream: The right to bargain collectively for a voice at work and a better life.

Today, that same demand is electrifying people across America. It’s the demand of all people—black, white, Latino and Asian American: The right to join together for our common dreams. The rally honors Dr. King’s memory and carries on his struggle. Speakers will include Community, Political, and Faith-based leaders.

Featured Speakers:
Stewart Burkhalter  Alabama AFL-CIO President
Daryl Dewberry UMWA District 20 Vice President
Daniel Flippo USW District 9 Director
Henry Jenkins RWDSU Mid South Council
VI Parramore AFT Local 2143 President

Spread the word. Bring your family and friends. Let’s make enough noise to be heard all over Birmingham and Alabama and all the way to Washington.
